The Alternative Health Zapper - Options The standard zapper comes with two handles of copper pipe, that look like the two in the bottom left corner of this page. They come with plug-in cables about as long as your arm. You plug the two cables into the two sockets on the top end of the zapper. They each come “wearing” a cotton sleeve, which you should dampen with water before each use. In addition to the water, if it is distilled, you should sprinkle on some salt so that there are ions to help in carrying the zapper current through the cotton cover to your skin. The cotton cover provides a buffer to reduce any direct contact with metal, to reduce metal absorption, and to soften the impact of the electrical pulsing. Most often, you will not even notice the pulsing, but using the cotton buffer is recommended. An extra cost option is to replace the copper pipes with wrist straps. The wrist straps also come with cotton covers, so you can isolate the zapper from direct contact with your skin.
